Did you know Jimmy's famous loon with the red eye (one is on display at the National Art Gallery of Canada) is the inspiration for our signature company Logo?

This is not only a classic Jimmy Iqaluq Loon, but quite frankly, it is one of the nicest ones I have ever seen. The roundness of the head is sensuous and voluptuous. The refined finish of the black argelite stone personifies perfection.

My heart skipped a beat when I first saw the slightly tilted head of Jimmy’s loon. This subtle posture gives such depth and personality to this exquisite sculpture.
The loon’s eyes are red (Jimmy harvests this red rock from the seashore near his childhood home. They are inserted separately into the bird’s head). 

Describing the beauty of this loon is like trying to explain why a beautiful woman is so beautiful.
