There is something so appealing about Diving bears.

Balancing on a front paw requires incredible strength, power and awareness of one's body in space.

So immediately, I view all Diving bears as superb athletes.

Now add in the small factor.

A small, athletic Diving bear is enchanting especially when he is carved in black.

The black colour enhances all the lines of the piece and also creates mystery.

Spunky is awesome.
