I am always amazed by the athletic ability of the Small Dancing Bear.
It takes years of training and innate talent for an Inuit carver to create a “dancing” bear that can balance on one, two, and sometimes THREE different paws.
When the dancing bear is small, the level of expertise required is astounding.
Our dancing bear is poised forever in this seemingly impossible position.
Every time I see him, I draw in my breath with astonishment!
Every collector of Inuit art is drawn to the small dancing bear and often has several of them in his or her collection. Their allure is never ending.
