CURATOR'S CHOICE
The gallery has recently acquired two of the most magnificent Dancing Bears that I have seen in my fifteen years as a curator of Inuit art.
This is not an idle boast. Nightfalls's presence is large and hard to ignore. I had to make him a CURATOR'S CHOICE.
Masterpiece Carving! Museum quality Sculpture!
Nightfall demands your attention but in a gentle and tranquil way.
Of all the Inuit carvings, I believe that the Dancing Bears are the most "divine".
With the snout pointing toward the heavens and the arms lifted high, I want to believe that the bear is connecting to his creator.
And that is why "Nightfall" bestows upon us his peacefulness and serenity.
The rich velvet green and black stone is heavenly. The shine is warm and brilliant all at the same time.
Like "Formula One", our other Adamie Quamagiaq Dancing Bear, I believe in the years to come, "Nightfall" could easily be an ambassador for the perfect Dancing Bear in a respected Art Museum.
What would it be like to have this luminary in your collection?
To bring you joy and inspiration every day?
