Masterpiece
When I saw this piece, I did not hesitate for a second. My heart skipped a beat and I knew it would be mine.
Probably the most exceptional piece the gallery has had in a while. Certainly the nicest piece in 2019 we have ever seen. The sleekness and fluid lines make this one the more spectacular caribou renditions ever made in Inuit art.
The sense of balance, crisp lines and coloration are punctuated by the inlaid eyes. This feature lends itself to a strengthened character and prodigious intensity.
This stunning caribou was carved by Inuit carver Johnny Manning from the Inuit community Cape Dorset.
